To support the wellbeing of people in our community, Common Ground Healing Arts will offer free chair massage and acupuncture drop-in hours on Thursdays the 11th, 18th & 25th in January 2018. These services are free and open to all people recovering from the violence, hatred and loss of the August 12th weekend.
January drop-in wellness services will be held at The Timberlake Community Center in Woolen Mills (1512 E. Market Street #105 - https://www.communityhousingpartners.org/150/242/timberlake-place-apartments.html). There is plenty of free parking available.
If you are wondering if these services are for you, we encourage you to come and check them out or call Common Ground at 434-218-7677 with any questions. These events are welcoming and supportive. Whether you were in the streets or caregiving for others, we invite you and your loved ones to a free massage or acupuncture. Trauma is often stored in the body, and bodywork is a gentle way of helping the body recover from overwhelming stress and trauma events. Services are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are not required or available.
